We just love Sony Ericsson, don’t we? All these little leaks to keep us busy. 😀
Newest entry in the Fun & Downloads area is a mysterious file called “test_z770.mp4”, a video with:
- 352 x 288 pixels
- 15 fps
- MPEG-4 with 560 Kbps
No further information is available at this point.

Btw, it’s another “You read it first on USEB” 😉

USEB has yet again gotten its fingers dirty with some exclusive news for you guys. This time it’s about codenames – four of them, to be exact.
Angelina, Emilie, Josephine and Tyra are new codenames for upcoming Sony Ericsson phones. The last three are set to be launched in Q3 this year.
So far no word on any specifications on any of these, but stay tuned for more updates on this!
We’ve also got another exclusive for you, and this one is regarding the K850 facelift 🙂 Its design will be more like the Japanese Cyber-shot phone, SO905iCS. In terms of camera design and look of course, not form factor, etc.

Now, that’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout!!! That’s innovation! Sony Ericsson has just filed a patent on something very cool – underwater image capturing! The picture does look a bit weird, but I guess this would require the camera housing to be 100 percent sealed and not let anything in (like all the dust on the K850!). If they fail to do so, it will be a huge failure! Anyway, here’s the description from the patent and picture below 🙂
A housing may include a first portion that includes a window configured to allow a lens to capture images viewed through the window, and a first mating surface. The housing may include a second portion that includes a second mating surface adapted to mate with the first mating surface to form a watertight seal, at least one button to provide a signal to a terminal supported in the second portion, and a receiving surface on an inner surface of the second portion adapted to receive an insert, where the insert is adapted to be removeably coupled to the receiving surface on a first side and to receive the terminal via a second side.

Here are two examples, that will be used in my K850 review. The first one shows what effects the ISO speeds has on taking pictures (with the flash on), and the second shows just how good and necessary a proper flash can be. Enjoy! 🙂
(yes, I know I made a mistake by calling it ISO level, sorry)

I’m counting on ordering some new SE accessories this Monday. I’m going to order the MBS-100 Bluetooth ball speaker system and the IPK-100 camera tripod accessory – both for use with my K850 and possibly some others of my phones.
So when I’m getting these two beauties I’m going to post a review of them – or at least my thoughts on them and how they work. I’m counting on getting them around the end of next week or early the week after.
Stay tuned! 😉
Update! I won’t be receiving these until the end of November, unfortunately. But am counting on getting a HPM-82 around that time, too, so that’ll be three nice accessories! 😀

I’ve shot some camera samples with my new K850, and posted them here, so you guys can see the quality. I think it’s pretty good, but there’s room for improvement, that’s for sure. I hope the first firmware release will fix a problem with the flash, that many are experiencing – I’m not, though. Here are the pictures all shot in auto mode. (click for full size).
